Hi - RE: Beetle conversion,
Does anyone know, or has there been a discussion anywhere here on the need or lack thereof for:
Stage II clutch w. AC 50
Various options for the flywheel: 1) stock, cast 2) balanced 3) forged 4) trick aluminum one from EVWest.
Micheal Bream, bless his heart, is convinced I need the $300 aluminum one. He seems to really believe it. I`m willing to believe the Stage II clutch is a good idea, and maybe that leads to flywheel issues. But he speaks of vibration with anything less than the aluminum one. And other issues which are less clear: dowel pin failure, pilot bearing, ease of assembly.
I`m of the mind there must be 100 Beetles out there without his flywheel - what`s your story.
