Hi,
I purchased this motor because I'm fascinated by the technology. They came from a surplus auction of a failed Google X project. I hope to get this in my 63 Rampside and not holding doors open.
I'm electrically challenged but I'm learning there is a lot more than meets the eye.
Makani has open sourced the code.
Has anyone out there been successful getting these running?
I know others have purchased these motors and a few are currently on Ebay. Look them, they are beautiful.
I'll post any progress on this post. Hope there are more out there.

Hi Mitch!

I ended up with a couple of the Makani Yasa motors as well...works of art to say the least. There is a guy on these forums who's been able to get them to spin using a "metacontroller". Misomosi is his username I think.
Any luck reaching out to him or making any progress on your own in the last few months?
